The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA-affiliation .
The Instructor Led Only takes place in a traditional classroom and range environment. This course may be completed in a single day format or over several days with smaller blocks of instruction.
This course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for the safe and proper use of a pistol or revolver in shooting targets.
Course topics include: gun safety rules, proper operation of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols, ammunition knowledge and selection, pistol selection and storage, shooting fundamentals, pistol inspection and maintenance, marksmanship, and shooting range safety.
Additionally, students will complete live fire training and a nationally standardized shooting qualification while on the range with an NRA Certified Instructor.
The Blended training format provides students the flexibility to complete a significant portion of the course in an eLearning environment, prior to arriving for the classroom and range session with an NRA Certified Instructor. When you register for the blended course, you’ll create a unique username and password.

The instructor will provide you with a Course Control Code and directions to complete the online self-study portion of the course prior to the final portion of the class at a range.

Course Goal: Teaches the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary to carry a concealed pistol for personal defense. Our NRA CCW concealed carry class / course is intended for people with prior shooting experience. This instructor-led only course gives you direct instruction from an NRA-certified instructor from beginning to end and may be conducted in a classroom and on a shooting range with an Instructor.

NRA CCW takes place in a traditional classroom and range environment. This course may be completed in a single day format or over several days with smaller blocks of instruction.
Course topics include: Firearm Safety (Mandatory), Pistol Nomenclature and Selecting a Pistol for Self-Defense, Basic Defensive Pistol Skills, Drawing from Concealment, Loading and Stoppage Remediation, Mindset, Carry Modes and Pistol Concealment.
Course length is determined by the Instructor, to meet Florida's State’s requirements for a CWP permit. Additionally, students will complete live fire training and a nationally standardized shooting qualification while on the range with an NRA Certified Instructor.
Students will receive reference materials, take a NRA CCW Student Examination, shoot a Qualification Course of Fire and receive a course completion certificate bearing the signature of the NRA Secretary and your NRA Certified Instructor.

Our USCCA Concealed Carry Weapon Course is a 4 hour comprehensive course for anyone considering owning or carrying a firearm for self-defense. The course is a guide to understanding conflict avoidance and situational awareness; handgun, ammunition basics; defensive shooting fundamentals; the physiology of violent encounters; the legal aspects of using deadly force (including knowing what to do in the aftermath).
Our USCCA Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals is a 8 hour comprehensive course for anyone considering owning or carrying a firearm for self-defense. The course is a complete guide to understanding conflict avoidance and situational awareness; handgun, shotgun, AR-15, and ammunition basics; defensive shooting fundamentals; the physiology of violent encounters; the legal aspects of using deadly force (including knowing what to do in the aftermath); and a complete guide on gear, gadgets, and ongoing training.
All our students will complete live fire training and a nationally standardized shooting qualification while on the range with an NRA or USCCA Certified Instructor.
We will train you in safe use of both Revolvers and Semi-Auto pistols in the Pistol Course.
You will shoot both Revolvers and Semi-Auto pistols in the Pistol Course with live ammunition (not blanks or plastics rounds). You will shoot a minimum of 50 rounds.
You will have hands on loading, unloading, making safe and handling misfires in all our courses.
You will shoot at an official firing range at real targets at different distances (not into a dirt filled bucket behind a building).
In our NRA Concealed Carry course, you will shoot, drawing from your holster, from concealment. During practice drills, you will shoot approx. 80 rounds. During the qualification shooting, you will shoot approx. 50 rounds. concealed carry class concealed carry weapon Tampa
What you will need to do after the class.
The prerequisite certificate that is issued upon completion by Adams Safety Services is NOT your permit / license to carry a concealed weapon / firearm. The Florida Concealed Weapon & Firearms License is issued by the Florida Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services.
The license issuing authority for a concealed gun in Tampa is the State of Florida, not Adams Safety Services.
